Coming Soon: The Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Howdy, Y'all! Spring has finally sprung here in Kentucky, and to celebrate we thought we'd go ahead and start ticking away at some of the items on our Bluegrass Bourbon and Eats bucket list! And since the word bourbon is in our name, we figured our first order of business this spring would be to tackle the Kentucky Bourbon Trail (or KBT as we'll refer to it here)! We have decided that instead of writing one very, very long post about all the different distilleries on the KBT, it may be easier for everyone if we started writing mini-posts about each leg of our trip. Our goal is to spread this out over several small day trips, mostly because of our hectic work schedules, but also so that we can give each distillery the attention it deserves. We've already stamped our passports (free at any distillery on the KBT) at three stops; the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, Maker's Mark, and the Bourbon Heritage Center at Heaven Hill. Be on the lookout for posts about these distilleries in the next couple of weeks; we'll be hitting up some more places as time allows us, and hopefully, by the end, we can all come out the other side knowing just a little bit more about Kentucky's native spirit. We can't wait to pop into the other seven distilleries on the KBT: Angel's Envy, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience at Stitzel-Weller, Four Roses, Jim Beam, Town Branch, Wild Turkey, and Woodford Reserve. You can follow our adventures in real time on Instagram at @bluegrassbourbonandeats - we'll be posting some Instagram stories along the way! We'll also post updates on our Twitter page at @bbandeats! That's all we've got for now - we can't wait for you to read about our experiences out on the trail!

**H/T to Shop Local KY for selling us the fun t-shirt on the cover photo!**
